The 2nd International Conference IMPLEMENTATION OF MICROREACTOR TECHNOLOGY IN BIOTECHNOLOGY – IMTB 2013 will take place in Cavtat, Croatia, from 5-8 May 2013.
The IMTB conference provides a forum for people from academia and industry to share and discuss the cutting edge results on implementation of microstructured devices in applied biology involving bioprocesses in engineering, technology and medicine, with the aim of developing new projects and exploiting new technologies for biotechnological applications.
A great success of the 1st International Conference IMTB 2010, held in Ljubljana, Slovenia in September 2010, has spurred the collaborative research groups from University of Ljubljana and University of Zagreb to organize the next conference with even higher ambitions.
Invited prominent speakers from leading research institutions, together with participants of various backgrounds including chemical, mechanical and electrical engineering, medicine, pharmacy, chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology and biotechnology, will present their recent achievements in the field of enzymatic microreactors, whole-cell microbioreactors, miniaturization of analytical systems, process intensification and integration within microstructured devices.
The conference will take place in Croatian seacoast town Cavtat, located just 15 km south of Dubrovnik, whose rich history and cultural heritage will be discovered within the conference social programme.
